When Jayberry Miller started Tuff Possum Gear he had no idea where his rugged bag and pouches sewing business would take him.
It all started in the fall of 2012 when he brought a small pack design to his mother and she said, “I’ll sew this one yet, but they’re getting too complicated. If you want more, you need to learn to sew and make them yourself.”
A few months later a family friend gave him a sewing machine, and he started sewing his own pouches and bags.
By the summer of 2015, at age of 16, he began making my projects with quality fabrics like 500d CORDURA nylon.
He began to post his projects on an online discussion forum. Soon members of the forum began asking to buy my pouches and bags. That continued until November of 2017, when he launched Tuff Possum Gear on Etsy.
Since then, he has had the pleasure of serving folks from around the globe with trustworthy gear that works for any outdoor adventure.
In December of 2019 Jayberry and his father Richard Miller were the Grand Prize winners of Troyer Websites' Christmas Website giveaway. They were the lucky winners of a $5,200 website/SEO package.
